Point of View: 16-37:

A point of view is the position the camera is in when you’re viewing a scene and taking a photo. This is how you capture the angle. This captures a photo of Christmas decorations at my house on the railings above the stairs. This photo was caught on a great angle. It emphasizes the lights on the decorations and the dimness.

Establishing Environment 38-73:

Establishing environment is, more or less, framing the subject matter where the subject is photographed in their natural environment. This photo captures my cat, Brandy doing what she typically does during Christmas seasons. Flocking under the tree. This is a picture of her and the background with the ornament beside her.

 Capturing Composition 74-103:

Capturing composition is how photographers go about arranging visual elements within their frame. This is a photo of decorations in front of my fireplace. There are many objects seen in this one photo that encompass order. There are mini trees, a teddy bear, flowers, and other small ornaments. This picture conveys a warm feeling inside because it’s in front of the fireplace.

Attracting Attention 104-125:

Attracting attention is similar to shock value. It causes someone to look at one. This captures a photo of the front of my house on Christmas Eve night. This picture is an attention getter, because of the pitch-black background with illuminated light in the windows. There is a lot of detail if you look closer at it.

Picturing People 126-163:

Picturing people is more than simply someone who takes photographs of individuals or groups. This picture taking technique captures the mood. This photo is of my parents at a Christmas gala party in Annapolis. This a very formal picture as they are both wearing formal attire. Their color scheme is black. The tree in the back gives the festive entity along with their body positions and smiles.

Thinking creatively:

This photo is cropped and zoomed in on Egg Nog imported from Killarney, Ireland on my desk. Thinking creatively is the photographer’s way of expressing his or her individualism, while remaining true to the sequence of photos submitted. In other words, thinking creatively is letting the outside world drop away and creating images that come forth from your heart and soul.

Its strategically placed next to my landline phone what emotions or feelings does it invoke in you??? For me it involves the warmth and festivity of the season, but it also says Christmas is becoming a slightly dated annual practice as our nation is becoming increasing diverse with numerous practices and customs from different cultures.
